TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER FOR ENCODER PRODUCTS (M/F/D) - Job - Career

TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER FOR ENCODER PRODUCTS (M/F/D)

YOUR MISSION

We have the ambition for our products to offer the most excellent position sensing capability on the market. You will have full responsibility for this area of our products, so in many respects you will be a product owner; helping shape the requirements, understanding the market and end applications, and driving the technical work internally and through external partners. You will evaluate test results to decide if we’ve reached our goals, and experiment and make suggestions for how to optimize the solution. Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Leading encoder product development projects and maintaining existing products

  • Synchronize efforts of cross-functional teams: engineering, documentation, customer support

  • Able to reason through technical issues at a low level, and predict where our customers will see problems

  • Design of encoder features relevant for excellent motion control, such as robust and accurate sensor calibration

Our integrated motion devices always contain one or two position sensors in an effort to simplify integration for customers. This means we think like an encoder manufacturer and strive to foresee all the potential problems customers can run into, and solve them early. This covers many disciplines, so a decent part of your daily work is to interact with the rest of the team and champion the encoder performance, reliability, robustness, and ease of use from our customer’s perspective.

YOUR PROFILE

We’re looking for a passionate engineer that loves to build things. You should have a fairly strong background with position sensors, which could include Hall effect, TMR, optical, inductive, or other sensors, combined with an excellent understanding of common issues facing encoders that operate in the real world.

It would be amazing if you already had experience with project management of a technical topic, but it’s enough if you’re excited to learn on the job.

We are especially interested in selecting a candidate that excels in clear and effective communication, both verbally and in writing. Meetings you lead are informative, and everyone leaves with a common goal.
