SENIOR MOTION CONTROL ENGINEER (M/F/D)

HACKING THE PHYSICS AND ECONOMICS OF MOTION CONTROL WITH DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY

At Synapticon we’re reshaping the world of motion control for robotics and machinery at the point of motion. The company introduces an entirely new approach to motion axes by integrating formerly discrete components, such as motors, drives, sensors and gearboxes into seamless units and digitising performance and quality factors that are so far dependent on costly mechanical manufacturing. Innovation leaders around the world choose to work with Synapticon to path their way into the future of intelligent, motion control-related systems.

Be part of it, join Synapticon!

YOUR MISSION

We’re looking for an experienced Motion Control Engineer to lead the design and development of our next generation motion algorithms. We need your creativity and passion to help design and simulate the most performant position and velocity control on the market. You will be contributing to many initial phases of product development, from identifying areas for improvement, researching the state of the art, building and maintaining performance simulations, and leading validation of your ideas.

Built on our history of physics-hacking algorithms, you will work closely with our development and customer applications teams to revolutionise the motion control industry and optimise the performance of our high density servo drive hardware.

YOUR PROFILE

You have a very strong theoretical and practical background in motion control engineering. This likely means you spent many years learning about control theory and building practical solutions to problems in the industrial world. You know very well how to simulate in a tool like Simulink, and you have a record of successfully designing control systems that reach demanded performance in the real world. You understand (through experience) the importance of simulation validation and limitations of common modelling methods. You think critically about what has become normal in the industry and have the bravery to honestly evaluate your own work. Quickly learning what you need from the internet or academic articles is your forte, as you have a strong desire to perfect your craft.

Our products are born from a fusion of multiple disciplines. That’s why we are especially interested in selecting a candidate that excels in clear and effective communication, both verbally and in writing. Excellently written specifications communicate your clever solutions to the rest of the world. Meetings you lead are informative, and everyone leaves with a common goal. You are excited to work on a team to build something bigger than you could do by yourself!
