INTERNSHIP ROBOTICS AND AUTOMATION (M/F/D) - Job Schönaich - Career

INTERNSHIP ROBOTICS AND AUTOMATION (M/F/D)

HACKING THE PHYSICS AND ECONOMICS OF MOTION CONTROL WITH DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY

At Synapticon we’re reshaping the world of motion control for robotics and machinery at the point of motion.

The company introduces an entirely new approach to motion axes by integrating formerly discrete components, such as motors, drives, sensors and gearboxes into seamless units and digitalizing performance and quality factors that are so far dependent on costly mechanical manufacturing. Innovation leaders around the world choose to work with Synapticon to path their way into the future of intelligent, motion control-related systems.  Be part of it, join Synapticon!

YOUR TASKS

As an Intern in the field of Sensors and Actuators for Robotics and Automation you will push the limits of performance  for our highly integrated industrial servo drives. Together with you, we will tailor your job-profile around some of the following key areas:

  • Hands-on on our latest products and prototypes! Testing and analysis of motor and motion control quality, including: current, torque, velocity and position control modes

  • Integrated encoder systems: Function development and performance validation

  • Design, build and modify applications of our servo drive, always at the edge of the feasible. We challenge these cases for testing and for showing off on trade fairs!

  • Prototyping of model-based control algorithms in simulation and in hardware using a rapid control prototyping system (Speedgoat)

    • For the mechanical part of the plant (modeling inertia, friction, reducers etc.)

    • For the motor control part of the plant (PWM, commutation, model-based current control etc.)

  • Participation in motion control features development

  • General support of the Product Performance Team

ABOUT THE PRODUCT PERFORMANCE TEAM AT SYNAPTICON

Given all the excellence and passion that our engineers have designed into our products in their respective fields, we as team Product Performance care about “the whole thing”: Making hardware, software, motors, encoders, gears, loads, mechanics work together seamlessly as a system. We close the control loop as a whole, in terms of concepts, analysis, simulations and verification testing. All this is to provide our customers with the speed, torque, cycle times, precision and dynamic frequency responses they need in their most demanding applications.
